For example, check out this cool study by @RoopeKaaronen and Nikita Strelkovskii. They investigated the cultural evolution of sustainable behaviors using agent-based models (and nlrx). They validated their model against cycling behaviors in Copenhagen:

And another one: If you are interested in desert plant community dynamics, have a look at this cool study, led by @liubazakharova, which combines trait- and individual-based modelling using data from annual plant communities in the Negev Desert. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.ecolmodel.2020.109260
Finally, nlrx was also used recently for COVID-19 related research. Led by @doraz_ila, this study builds a probabilistic model to evaluate the effectiveness of main solutions to COVID-19 spreading in university buildings. Check out the preprint: https://doi.org/10.21203/rs.3.rs-82941/v1
