Some #pwme are upset the #longcovid clinics are opening. I’m not. I remember the CFS clinics opening as a patient of Prof Pinching. He was hopeful it would be a huge step foward, It wasn’t. Nearly 20 years later we still have nothing and half my life lost http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/1755070.stm
The clinics cost £8.5m

They varied depending on region - some had immunologists so few had good care and experimental treatments, others were a waste of time like the two I was reffered to. Eventually one closed reopening privately and raking in £0000’s https://www.theguardian.com/society/2004/jan/20/health.medicineandhealth2
South Coast Fatigue.

So, a great blueprint for future covid clinics and greedy Tories.
Nice work if you can get it.

we’ll ignore the fact here that the NICE guidelines say only Mild and Moderate patients should be “treated” with GET so she shouldn’t be visiting severe patients and incrementing their activity. But Fran knows best.

I’d rather the money they’re about to waste go to biomedical funding and training including specilaist nurses like they should have in 2002.

I hope the covid clinics learn from the “CFS” clinics.

I hope no one is harmed.

I hope covid patients aren’t tweeting this in 2040
