3/6 Production never matches the development environment. It resembles, but cannot match.
So they deployed people on the other side.
4/6 But this process was slow, they wanted to deploy faster
So they built Continuous deployment (CI/CD)
5/6 To improve reliability, we got SRE to do this
Their first job was to hold this ship, but that's all where they got stuck at.
6/6 What Site Reliability Engineers should really be doing is *engineering* this bridge with an ability to *observe* and keep fixing it proactively.
