SOS Lincoln is alarmed at Lincoln Public Schools’ denial of school spread of COVID and refusal to close schools as cases rise. Unfortunately, fear of retaliation keeps staff from speaking publicly about LPS policies.

Not Cathy. She is an LPS para who got COVID at work.
2/ LPS claims there is no school spread of COVID.

"Eight of my dept coworkers contracted school-spread COVID. 7 share a small office, desks...all facing away from each other...One tested positive the day before giving birth..." Cathy's coworker couldn't see her baby for weeks.
3/ LPS dismisses anonymous statements as unreliable, but what happens when staff speaks out?

"I personally know someone who has experienced retaliation within LPS...We are not being heard and we are not being taken seriously...there is a true fear of workplace retaliation."
4/ The district COVID risk dial went "red" on 11/6.

"(LPS) announced...once the dial hit red, you would shut things down. You would keep children and staff safe. Number of cases continue to climb, subs cannot be found, things are not safe and you refuse to shut things down.
5/ LPS says “staff safety continues to be a top priority.”

Cathy concludes:
"I am employed by LPS and contracted COVID there. All I got was an empty plastic cup.

Words not matching action is called “manipulation.” Refusing to be held accountable for it is called “gaslighting.”
