All the credit in the world to Gio for his goal, but thatās GK inexperience. Not going over the wall from that distance, has to protect post. Gio a bit sloppy tonight, but he will have those days in concacaf. Not worried one bit.
Nicholas Gioachinni was opportunistic, had decent back to goal link up play, and did what all good 9ās do, be present. Shame about the penalty. Reminded me a bit of Bobby Wood, not sure how I feel about that.
Musah keeps surprising me, very clean on the ball and reminiscent of Darlington on the turn, though much more direct in the final third. Always looks like heās enjoying himself on the field too. Canāt remember the last player Iāve seen smile that much while playing.
SergiƱo Dest is playing with so much confidence. Itās stupid, this dude is an outside back and snakes opponents at least twice a game. I like him better on the left, heās more dangerous when inverted.
Which brings me to RB. The lack of left footed competitive backs continues to be an issue for the USMNT. Lots of question marks which may lead Dest to play LB permanently. Reggie was solid.
We heard seen very little from Tyler Adams, and thatās a good thing. He didnāt have to put out many fires, and organizes well enough where there will be games he wonāt be much of a factor. Got shook on a play tho, was wild to see.
Sebastian Soto comes on and scored a double. Gioachinni should of had a hat trick . Sargent couldnāt make the trip. Why am I still worried about that 9 position? I am tho.
That said like my man @stuholden said on the broadcast, a hot streak gets any idiot a chance at a World Cup.

Iāve criticized Gregg Berhalter for his affinity of Tim Ream before. I get that heās a left footed passing CB (like Berhalter was), but I donāt see it. Gets caught at least once a game. Heās also 33 years old.
I actually thought it was a good thing Panama hurt the USMNT on a few occasions. We have to see how these kids respond in adversity. CONCACAF is ridiculously dumb and anything that can happen will.
Positive camp for the USMNT .. itās been a while since weāve felt this way.
