now i get the "it isn't fair to people who had to pay their loans off already" argument and im not at all saying it's wrong. but if you're saying it's not fair to YOU when you're old enough that you could have afforded tuition by just working a min wage job over summer, pipe down
y'all realize i'm just talking about people who like... went to college in the 60s.. right? you can save your financial responsibility lectures because i'm literally not disagreeing with you.
alright i see the confusion. "fair to YOU" as in if you went to college in the 60s and by fairness you mean "i paid off mine, they should pay off theirs." NOT "fair to you" as in im saying it's fair they should now pay off others debt. because it's not. they shouldn't have to.
basically... @ boomers: the minimum wage to average tuition cost is different now. most young people can't work a summer job and pay for a full year. i'm not saying you now should have to pay off their debt, but stop acting pretentious like they could just do what you did.
