||| Blood Lad review |||
I watched the first couple volumes of the anime and then very slowly indulged in Staz Charlie Blood’s manga adventure to reincarnate a girl he really likes but inadvertently killed. Usually NOT A FAN OF MAGIC - didn’t expect an ECCHI 1/6
to perform so as an ACTION manga as it did. From trials to tribulations & unique character designs, the world manifested a quite funny and unpredictable setting almost every chapter. Some of the issues = After quite a senseless introduction in the unfinished anime, 2/6
and a strange 80% of the story, some of the temporary antagonists felt really weak. Then, the defeated slowly become neutral, kind of like in Diamond Is Unbreakable. After the main antagonist is fought at the end of the first half of the story, there was a sizeable 3/6
time period where main villain was very plain and mostly stayed that way. However, the aimless side characters get their moment to prove their worth. Relationships between the main cast grow and are significantly different from beginning to end - Kodama sensei crafted 4/6
this story and its character's journeys skillfully, even if they’re not as impactful in the media.

In conclusion: If you want a silly seinen - this will be right up your alley. The supporting cast is solid, and the main characters aren’t a standard supernatural squad. 5/6
I am glad this journey led me to buy a final volume so I can always remember what happens to Fuyumi in a different world far less complicated than ours. 6/6
