Hi friends! What happened in the Clark County Commission District C race was not “large scale voter discrepancy.” There were 139 discrepancies in the race, which normally would not matter except the Democratic candidate in the race, Ross Miller, won by only 10 votes. https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/1328483862490574849
In total, there were 936 discrepancies identified across Clark County. That includes six people who voted twice, among other issues like check in errors, inadvertently canceled voter check ins, issues with the ballot cure process, etc.
Those discrepancies, when you look at how many were in each race, were NOT enough to change the margin of difference in every single race in Clark County EXCEPT Commission District C, again because the margin was literally 10 votes.
Also, who was it who identified these discrepancies? The registrar of voters in Clark County. The exact same Joe Gloria that Republicans have been maligning through this entire process. It was Gloria and his team who identified these errors.
There is a process in place to find errors in the election! And when those errors are found — and are bigger than the margin of difference — you have folks like Gloria who will bring them to light. This is exactly how the process is supposed to work.
This is what Joe Gloria told the Clark County Commission, which is made up entirely of Democrats: https://twitter.com/meganmesserly/status/1328449671476330496
And you know what? The entirely Democratic Clark County Commission decided, yes, this race is really close and the discrepancies are large and so they are going to hold a special election (i.e. a revote) to ensure the residents of District C can be confident in the outcome.
Anyways, here's my whole thread on the Clark County Commission meeting canvassing the election results from earlier! https://twitter.com/meganmesserly/status/1328443530696552448
