Happy 2nd Birthday to @CISAgov! Two years ago, @realdonaldtrump signed into law the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Act of 2018, creating this purpose-built, cross-functional civilian agency to lead the nation’s critical infrastructure risk management efforts.

Since then we’ve been hard at work with a range of partners to make the internet a safer, more secure place for everyone. We’ve scaled up cyber services to help organizations defend themselves, while also sending out insight-packed alerts and advisories. https://www.cisa.gov/insights 

And as #COVID spread across the country, we worked with our infrastructure partners to get out guidance on how to safely operate key functions during the pandemic, as well as continue to ensure that public safety comms work when we most need them

So what’s next for @CISAgov? Job #1: we’re focused on supporting our election partners through the close of this election cycle. Our #Protect2020 initiative has been years in the making, leading to a secure and resilient #Election2020 .

This has been a team effort, many thanks to our partners, from @EACgov @FBI @NSACyber @US_CYBERCOM @ODNIgov and of course our state and local election officials @NASSorg @NASED

We’re also continuing to support #COVID19 response efforts, including Operation Warp Speed. We’ve rapidly built out an all-star team dedicated to working with @HHSGov and @HealthISAC to secure our partners in the healthcare and public health sector.

Then there's #Ransomware - we’re focused on ramping up a national strategic effort to combat this global scourge. We MUST improve defenses, break the business model, and take the bad guys out of the game. This is the most visible, disruptive cyber threat as I see it right now.
