I'm struggling with the best way to phrase this, but for the past several days, I've been consumed with a thought.

"A conservative in the United States by definition must be either ignorant, or a white supremacist."

And I don't think I have a way around that. /
See, ignoring everything else - ignoring the Evangelical movement, ignoring social issues, just looking at those things which "true conservatives" care about,

The policies benefit one race (white people) and harm all others, disproportionately. /
Look at something like "tough on crime" policing.

You can take the information that, say, black men are twice as likely to be killed by police as white men, and twice as likely to be unarmed when killed.

A conservative either doesn't know that, or believes they deserve it. /
In which case, they believe that there is something about this race - not decades of failed policy, not centuries of government-enforced poverty, not the destruction of black wealth or black bodies by the state - which makes them simply more criminal. /
If you honestly believe that... say, anyone in America can make it if they try,

And you see the heads of corporations, the vast majority of elected officials, almost every billionaire, are all white men,

And you keep the belief that anyone CAN do that, /
Then you're saying that, for whatever reason, it just happens to be the case that white people are better at doing that.

They're better at trying.

Other races just don't want to try as hard.

You really only have to scratch any conservative opinion to find racism under it. /
And, again, I come back to my core question of the past ten years.

How do we form a society with people who steadfastly believe, as a matter of identity, that they're racially superior?

Who build not just their personal but ideological self-description around that? /
Because they're not vanishing any time soon.
It's like the maddening "I believe in equal opportunity, NOT equal outcome" crowd.

For fuck's sake - equal outcome, at a societal level, is how you'd DEMONSTRATE equal opportunity. It's the proof!

Because if all things were equal, you'd see equivalent distribution!

You don't!
I just think of all those gamers I've ever met, who laid out the obvious math of how X faction was OP in Y game, and you could tell because of these metrics in the meta,

Who would just go glass-eyed and call you a "sjw cuck" if you pointed out there were real-world applications.
