White people flocked to Trump because Trump promised to be the cop that would keep Black People, Brown people, Muslim people, Immigrant People etc out of White Spaces.
White people were angry at Obama's "If I had a son, he'd look like Trayvon" comment because it hit a nerve: It wouldn't matter if Trayvon's daddy was the president of the United States, White people would've called the police to get rid of him.
Every white person in this country, no matter how well meaning or how racist, knows they can call the cops on ANY black person they don't like and the cops will get rid of that black person.
Amy Cooper claimed she voted for Obama & Hillary and that didn't stop her from trying to get rid of Christian Cooper. That's why she made sure to emphasize it was a BLAAAACK man coming for her when she was the one breaking the law in the first place. #poorhenry
When we see stories about black people going to jail because they enrolled their kids in a school zone they didn't live in, that was that white teachers/principals calling the police to get rid of the black disturbance.
How many stories have you seen on social media with some racist person being extra racist and they turn out to be a real estate agent? Do you think they're showing black clients homes outside of the black areas? Recommending good mortgage brokers?
I've seen how the white mortgage broker has straight ignored taking calls from the black clients my office sends his way and get called out for it by the black real estate agents. Do you think that dude is giving the black clients the best mortgage rate?

Or we can talk about how in the main intersection where I used to live, there were 3, 4 grocery stores 30 years ago but now there is a bust down Sav A Lot taking up half the space of where Winn Dixie "used to be." The shady Food Lion is there but that's it.
Yet I live 15 minutes from that intersection but in a "white" area and we have 4 grocery stores plus the Walmart supercenter and the Target grocery in a 5 minute radius?
Or if you go to the main intersection on the other side of town, they have:

Or we can talk about how in my county, the BLM rallies & riots in Richmond FINALLY spooked them enough to change the Confederate names of the high school and middle school ...and they were named that specifically to keep black people OUT?
Or how about in the county where I grew up, the white parents felt the black & brown children needed to "get back in class, we're concerned for their education" when the real story is you don't GAF about their education, you need their parents back on the job?
So, schools will be reopening. If the white parents were #So_Concerned about the black/brown children's education, the black/brown side of the county wouldn't be just now in 2020/2021 getting a replacement high school after 50+ years.
Or we can talk about how my old country rezoned a brand new white neighborhood into the relatively new white high school instead of the older more diverse school it should be going to b/c the builder said their customers don't want their kids going to school with the poors.

The point is the police is just one tool to keep black/brown people out of white people's spaces. They use laws, norms, collusions etc too & that's what Obama meant.

It's not the police...American society uses police as a tool, among others, to get rid of people they don't like (black people in particular) and get them out of their spaces. Obama didn't need to call out the Karen who called the cops on Henry Louis Gates b/c its not just her.
