Since personal experiences seem to be the only thing making people think twice about COVID-19 I think it's time for me to share my experiences again.

You don't know how awful it can be even with a mild case. Let me tell you how it can go for you.
I had the following symptoms at one point or another:

- fever + chills
- cough
- no appetite
- diarrhea
- nausea
- night sweats
- no energy (slept 14+ hours a day)
- difficulty breathing
- sore throat
- headache that wouldn't go away
I know this looks like I just took the list of potential symptoms and spewed them all, but I actually experienced all of these at some point during my time in isolation. Which also happened to be almost 4 weeks, not 2, because my symptoms went on and on and on.
So I shook it, but I have a cough that varies in severity to this day. I also have trouble doing anything even slightly strenuous.

I brought in groceries from my car (approximately 50m from my place) and was winded. I can't do anything active without coughing.
I used to be relatively active (curled 2 times a week - walked everywhere often 5+ km a day and at least a couple 8km plus days a week). So to go from that to laying on the couch winded from a walk from my car with a few bags of groceries is a bit jarring and concerning.
I'm waiting on breathing test results as I write this, but I know I don't have the vigour I once did.

What will come for me? I don't know. What future problems will come from it? Again, we have no clue. And that's where it gets the most scary.
For the rest of my life this virus (and remember, this particular strain hasn't been known to man for a year yet) will be key medical information for me.

Impact may come several years from now, but I know I'm still feeling an impact from it today and may for the rest of my life.
So the whole point of this thread is to remind anyone who says "It's just a flu" to stop saying that.

Yeah sure my symptoms looked flulike but they were much more prolonged and pronounced and on top of that I have the rest of my life to worry about it's impact.
So yeah, maybe 99% survive, but can you take almost a month off of work? Can you isolate from your entire household? What about the long term effects, can you handle that?

It's not just a flu.

There are so many little things we can do to help slow the spread.

Start doing them!
