How to remember the difference between 买 (buy) and
卖 (sell)

卖 has a little 十 on top so it looks like it's sitting on a surface like a sale display, so it's being sold

国 (country) is a 王 (king) with a fence around it but it also has a little dot. I like to think that it's his hand resting on the arm of his throne, being fancy.
The difference between 象 (elephant) and 家 (home) always confused me so I started thinking of the top of 象 as eyes and the hat on 家 as a roof.
