hey everyone!! <3 this thread is generally directed at muslims but even if you aren’t i’d really really appreciate retweets or sending this to any muslims you know!
so most muslims, like myself, have the muslim pro app downloaded onto their phone; it comes in handy to know prayer times and things like that.
however, it’s not safe to use this app anymore. the us military is apparently using muslim pro to find out the user’s location data.
i’ll be linking an article that details more about this. to any muslims, PLS delete muslim pro immediately. they’re literally stealing your location. muslim mingle also isn’t safe
this thread is directed at muslims bc the vast majority of muslims in the west have muslim pro downloaded. other apps are also taking your location data, but you can read that in the article for yourself.
if you’re muslim, you can replace muslim pro with “Quran Majeed”, and another app that will remind you which times to pray; there are plethora to choose from.
so if you’re muslim PLS stay away from these apps. i also urge everyone to read the article to see which apps are also not safe to use.
