I pay $900 a month on my student loans

I graduated from law school in 2002

As a professor at a public university, I make a lot more money than my colleagues who work as public defenders, legal aid lawyers, and a bunch of other extremely important legal jobs.
To be clear, my salary allows me to afford a mortgage on a nice house and take my family on a vacation every year.

But if I weren't still paying my own student loans, then I'd be saving more money towards my own kids' education. I'm still saving some, but they'll need loans too
Do I need my student debt cancelled?

No.

But the fact that *I* can pay my loans down--and the fact that I've been making those payments for 18+ years doesn't make me want to stop *other people* from getting the help that they need.
