/ #Armenia President Armen Sarkissian calls on government to prepare for snap elections. He is not the only one in this country, who believes this could be a way out in this tense crisis.
/ For almost a week Yerevan sees regular street protests. Police checks cars for guns while the security service reports possible coup against PM Pashinyan.
/ Pashinyan refuses to leave. Despite losing members of his party. Former FM Mnatsakanyan announced resignation. There are more in the government who already asked for resignation, but do not publicise not to add fuel to the crisis.
/ In my view, snap elections could be a way out. In fact, Pashinyan and his team could also campaign to see what support they have in the population.
/ During the war those politicians and civil society people I met spoke about the need to preserve the statehood no matter what. https://twitter.com/olesya_vart/status/1320817337273110531
/ There will be lots of issues around quality of campaign and the vote. But better to see them arguing around the ballot box rather than fighting in the streets.
