This Saturday marks the 100th Anniversary of Bloody Sunday. Michael Collins and the Irish set out to assassinate the Cairo Gang which were British Intelligent Agents, soldiers of an army occupying Ireland. The sole and only purpose was to eliminate soldiers.....
And damage British Intelligence. The operation was carried out, successfully.

In retaliation to this and later that afternoon, Dublin were due to play Tipperary in Croke Park. The proceeds from the match bring raised in aid of Republican Prisoners Dependents Fund....
10,000 people attended the game and 5 minutes before throw in an aeroplane flew over Croke Park, circled twice and shot a red flare. The flare was a signal for the Auxiliary & Military Police to storm Croke Park and open fire on innocent people.
The British Army barricaded the exits from people leaving the stadium. This created a series of crushes along with the murder of innocent, Irish civilians. The shooting lasted for less than 2 minutes. Hundreds of people were injured and 16 people lost their life.
The names of the people that were murdered, in cold blood by the British should never be forgotten. Their names are;
James Burke, Jane Boyle, Daniel Carroll, Michael Feery, Michael Hogan, Thomas (Tom) Hogan, James Matthews, Patrick O’Dowd, Jerome O’Leary, William (Perry) Robinson, Tom Ryan, John William (Billy) Scott, James Teehan, Joseph Traynor.
