On China
I have to disagree with the above "somewhat". Saudis are now in a cash crunch. It is actually the primary reason they want to be nice to India and not antagonise it. China has more cash than Saudi Arabia for sure (and will in future).
But the Chinese are not going to simply open the money spigot the way the US did during the Cold War. If they were willing, this entire discussion would be moot.
