Lots of friends/followers have asked us to share details of the matter pertaining to arrest of a 'british man' Tanveer Ahmed by Azad Jammu Kashmir administration after the BBC published a propaganda report in support of his release.
You may find the details under this thread:

Azad Jammu Kashmir is a free territory where everyone is free to propagate his/her political ideology. A perception has been created that State of AJK does not allow any such activism which may not comply with the official stance of 'Kashmir accession to Pakistan'

Contrary to that perception, nationalist parties/group spring up like mushrooms in AJK and the level of activism (processions, rallies etc) of any single nationalist group beats the activism of all pro-pakistani political parties combined, by a mile.

Never in the history of AJK have these nationalist groups been stopped from expressing their political ideology - they carry out processions at will, hoist flags wherever they want, do the wall chalkings all-over, do their publications etc.

Liberty these nationalists enjoy in AJK can be gauged from the fact that they even waive Dogra's flags alongside JKLF's or NSF's or PNP's flags and nobody bothers them. Never in past 73yrs has anyone coerced them to bring down their flags from any building/Chowk/ market.

On 14 August this year, when majority of the people of AJK were enthusiastically celebrating the independence day of Pakistan, British-man Tanveer Ahmed, who is actually a resident of Sehnsa (Dist Kotli), moved to Dadyal (Dist Mirpur) with a group of nationalists ...

... and started a sit-in at Maqbool Butt chowk in the main Bazar demanding removal a Pakistani flag which was hoisted by general public on that chowk. He threatened admins that if flag was not removed by them, he was going to remove it himself. General public initially..

... warned Tanveer against disrupting the peace of the city and asked him to respect the sentiments of the majority. Local administration, being fearful of the reaction from general public, reached out to him and warned him against his plan of removing flag.

After 02 day, Tanveer himself tried to remove pakistani flag. While doing so, police arrived there and arrested Tanveer on spot. Coming to the argument of Tanveer, he states that since that chowk/monument was named after Maqbool Butt (that too named by govt of AJK)...

... therefore Pakistani flag should have not been hoisted there. If we go by his argument, then we must know that every college/university in AJK has been named after one or another hero of our liberation war of 1947. By that logic, no JKLF's or NSF' activity should be...
...allowed inside Khan sab Khan Muhammad Khan Degree College Palandri, or Captain Hussain Khan Shaheed Degree College Rawalakot, or Major Sabir Shaheed Stadium Rawalakot, or Quaid e Azam Stadium Mirpur or on Shahra e Mujahid e Awwal, or Shahra e Ghazi e Millat..

.. Or in Abbaspur (named after Ch. Ghulam Abbas). In that case, no nationalist should be allowed inside Shaheed e Millat (Mirwaiz Yousaf Shah) Medical College Muzaffarabad or inside Cadet College Palandri where every hostel has been named after pro-pakistan war heroes of 1947.
... Then no nationalist should be allowed inside K.H Khurshid Libraray. We don't want to go into comparisons but these all are our real heroes who got us this freedom from the 100yrs long Dogra rule.

... and this definitely would have led to a similar reaction (on a much greater scale) by the proponents of Kashmir's accession with Pakistan. AJK is a peaceful territory and everyone lives in harmony. Such individuals shall never be allowed to disrupt our peace and harmony.
... Tanveer and his family used their british connections and got this report published in BBC. @BBCWorld misrepresented the facts by deliberately ommiting the context and major part of the story.
@SecKermani should have scrutinized this matter before publishing this propaganda-based report.
