It’s unkind to say, but compare the success of scientists to the failure of politicians on COVID. I work in both worlds, and there is no doubt which camp is smarter or more committed.

Our country would be better if we would elect more scientists, and fewer stockbrokers.

In the coming months, we will see a torrent of successful vaccines—perhaps half a dozen by spring—which also target the spike protein, but using different technology.

The best would be Johnson & Johnson, which needs only 1 shot, not 2. I am optimistic.
