FWIW, I am a large midwesterner with a beard who drinks beer & both played & watches football. I also make it my policy not to wring my stupid hands about the outfits of men I don't know.

I should add that these outwardly Manly things mean nothing, and are in fact just another form of fashion. My beard would not prevent me from getting my ass absolutely whomped if I ever got in a fight, which I never have, because I am a wuss.

I'd also add that the people pushing this have a very strong policy of doing fuck all about the *actual* problems we face, like health care & education & the currently raging pandemic. So we may want to consider that they're getting us talking about bullshit like this on purpose.
