Farm tools are heavy, awkward, and a pain in the !@#.

My wife @LibertyFarmNH and I are equally capable of sitting and typing at computers, but only one of us can deadlift a 400 lb piece of steel.

It is what it is.

I could do a whole thread on this bullshit but the “it’s all so tiresome” meme covers it.

Just re-read the NPR clip, and, OMG, they weren't JUST talking about attaching 2,000 lb implements - they were also bitching about 5 gallon fuel containers

If you can't lift a 40 lb gas tank to chest height, maybe farming's not for you / you should ask your husband to do it

There are solutions to all of these problems.

If lifting a 5 gallon can is too hard, you can get an elevated 500 gallon tank with a gravity flow hose, or a ground level tank with a DC pump.

5 gallon cans cost $50

500 gallon tanks and hoses and pumps cost $2,000

If you don't want to deadlift and bodycheck a PTO implement and use upper body strength plus a $50 pry bar, you can get a $2,000 auto-connect system
You can follow @MorlockP.
