Here’s a thread of how many patrons I could beat up at my local venues in Richmond, Virginia:
Gallery 5: Deff the smallbean queer crowd. Great for intimate shows, bad for how many people I could beat up. Could prolly body bout 10 of y’all. The patrons here love to be in a hive mentality but are incredibly disorganized when it comes to fighting
Canal Club: don’t know who is worse, the audience or the security. I saw Insane Clown Posse here once, incredible show. Could confidently say, I could body 1-2.5 people that attend CC. Pretty hardy group of people to attend this venue.
Strange Matter (RIP): great diversity when it comes to crowd. I could prolly beat up about..... 4-5 people here. Most people are crust punks who had a Nazi phase then rebranded as niggas who read books. Jaded at their place in life, don’t know how to use switchblade, wears boots.
The National: Loves reading NPR, and buying seats no one else has access too. Prolly full of snitches. could beat up everyone at every National show I’ve ever heard about
The Broadberry: very mixed bag..... wild card venue. Depends on whose playing, but either way, there is going to a fight.
House show: shares a lot of traits with Gallery 5: smallbean, hive mentality. The diffefence is that they will fight for their friends and everyone is “friends”. With that being said, the variance of people I could beat up also depends on the show.
The Camel: uhhhhh sheesh prolly like 5? Lots of flannels and beers, with men bigger than they need to be. Employee owned so they will die for anything including the right to throw shows in a pandemic.
25 Watt: everyone does from cigarettes before I get there.
Balliceaux/Flora/ Poor Boys: they don’t know they politics which will cause just enough confusion for me to body about 7 people. Also known as “The Ghost of Racist Past”
Vagabond: A lot more black people than any other venue combined. Jazz cats think they are sporadic and ahead of the beat. That is where they are wrong. That is where I get them. Could body 5 people.
