a thread on how to treat rp accounts since y’all apparently have no goddamn clue.
1. don’t be nsfw without consent. stop sending rp accounts (most of them whose characters are technically minors, btw) nsfw content, especially if you don’t know them. you’re making both the character and admin uncomfortable, and you’re just being a shitty person for that.

3. learn that no means no. rp characters have their own relationships as well, so not all of them will be single. stop insulting rp characters just because they won’t date you. how fucking entitled are you so insult them? if anyth, it gives them more reason not to.
4. let rp admins have their own opinion. stop getting mad at rp accounts for spreading awareness and ‘breaking character’, because it just shows that they care and have a much bigger heart than you. it is their account, they can do whatever the fuck they want with it.
5. don’t ask for information about the admin. if they have already told you they do not wish to share it, stop pestering the rp to share admin information. that’s just incredibly invasive and rude, and it’s not pleasant for them. stop making them feel uncomfortable.
6. don’t force rps to do anything. while you may be in love with cedric, you can’t force a cedric rp to be your partner / love you etc. let rps live their own life and have fun, stop trying to control their character. it is extremely annoying and rude.
7. stop insulting rp characters. while you may not like the character, its no reason for you to be rude to them. eg. you can hate draco malfoy, but be respectful of the rp account. unless they consented, stop being mean to them and insulting them. that just makes u shitty as fuck
IN GENERAL: stop being rude to rp accounts. just because they’re a fictional character, there are still real people behind those accounts. stop being disgustingly rude and stop making them feel uncomfy. this thread shouldnt even have to exist, it should be common courtesy, but ——
—— i am friends with so many rp accounts and i get daily stories about how someone was rude to them, made them uncomfortable. i have seen firsthand how affected they get, and it makes me sick to my stomach. just be respectful, they’re already trying so hard to bring happiness.
