Someone just wrote a response to one of my tweets about COVID conditions in prisons...they said:

"Maybe they shouldn't have gone to prison"

The sheer lack of empathy it takes to be so glib in response to people getting infected en masse and many dying is just astounding

As if part of their prison sentence was exposure to COVID in the worst environment possible

As if prisons are a just outcome, or that what we should want from prison is harsh punishments instead of correction (despite that punishment makes people WORSE not better)

But rather than go too deep in the weeds here....I did a video response to someone else making this argument several months ago (before I lost a bunch of weight)
