An important note from the VDH this morning:
Now, today (and yesterday’s) TJHD COVID update: 74 newly reported cases from Saturday; no new fatalities or hospitalizations. 2.7% PCR rate as of 11/12 (3.2% for all testing).
Speaking of testing rates, the top graph shows the PCR testing rate, while the bottom shows the testing frequency rate.

Over the weekend, folks like @craftypanda, @hchorey and @seantubbs pointed out that the region's doing a LOT of testing, which skews the numbers lower.
UVA in particular has been doing a lot of randomized testing (pool, point prevalence and saliva tests). Allison had a great thread on Saturday that explains why the region's percent positivity is so low compared to other parts of the state and country. https://twitter.com/craftypanda/status/1327677547891601408?s=20
