He has deliberately misquoted Gurbani to suit his propaganda. The saakhi behind this place is that Guru Sahib was standing while all Muslims were offering Namaz. When asked about it, Guru Sahib told them that their minds were wandering somewhere else & that Namaz is not counted.
Ashok uses his white bearded image to present a different set of Sikhi by whitewashing crimes of Mughals. For example he considers Shaheedi of Guru Arjan Sahib and Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib as Political issues that Sikhs should get over with now.
He believes in some reformist sect that encourages changes in Sikh Rehat maryada. The changes that once surprised Sikh twitter and everyone understood that this man had motives beyond explanation. For example he considers ‘circumcision’ and ‘halal’ as something that can be done.
In addition to this, the man has already canceled Dasam Garanth Sahib with his naive concept of Sachi Bani and kachi bani which I asked him to explain but he ran away.

It should be well understood by Sikhs that they don’t have to be puppets of any community to excel. Sikhs are well versed with their history & Sikhi in itself is enough to spread love and peace without propaganda.
Guru Nanak Dev Mahraaj on what is Namaz. Guru Sahib did not believe in offering Namaz if one leads life of falsehood & bad deeds. Considering Islamic ways, this counts as blasphemy, yet Ashok wants to believe Guru Sahib offered Namaz.
This is by and large what Sikhs believe in (with exception of Ashok.) No Sikh has known anything more than this about Gurus visit to Mecca and the encounter with the guards there. No recording of Namaz offering by Guru at Mecca. Hence the visit doesn’t count as Hajj.
If we are to believe that Guru Sahib is a Muslim because they dressed like Muslims while in Arab, then we need to believe that Guru Sahib was an Udasi Sadhu as well. Since Gurbani records that Guru is neither Hindu nor Muslim, the concept of Namaz is made up.
Guru Sahib has been very clear critic of Islamic practices like Hindu practices & hence it is intellectually immoral to attribute Guru Sahib as a Muslim fakir who offered Namaz
Ashok’s interpretation of Bhai Gurdas vaar tells you the entire tale about his knowledge of Sikhi. Not many days ago he called Guru Hargobind Sahib as fifth guru. Someone who doesn’t even know his ten guru Sahibaan is making claims about Guru Nanak sahib’s life & janamsakhis.
