Moderna also says that the preliminary data show that its #vaccine is safe, but they still await longer-term safety results that will be available in late November.

Like Pfizer’s #vaccine trial, these preliminary data from Moderna’s #coronavirus vaccine trial were reviewed by an INDEPENDENT panel of scientific experts, who are the only ones to have access to unblinded data (they know who go placebo vs #vaccine).

Moderna’s #vaccine works similarly to @pfizer’s (>90% effective per early data).
Both vaccines use mRNA genetic material encoding the #coronavirus spike protein. After injection, the body’s cells make the protein
