someone smarter than me definitely already wrote a think piece about this but there’s definitely something about how the major symptoms of covid are similar to a cold and how our capitalist society has designated certain symptoms as being workable and not serious...

...despite how unwell we may feel (I mean, pre-pandemic when was the last time you took off from work because of a cold? and how shit does colds make us feel?) and how there’s probably some sort of effect that normalisation has on the pandemic continuing, right?

this is me working through the intense guilt I’m feeling about taking off work and going to get tested today even though I’m pretty sure this is literally just a cold
