The Game should be fundamental to all your sessions. Doing a “technical” practice for 60% of your session isn’t something your players are going to enjoy.
Try to make sessions competitive, every part of your session challenge your players?
Try to plan with your players abilities, personalities & positions in mind.

Ask yourself “would I enjoy being part of this session?”
Consider manufacturing certain match scenarios that allow your session theme to emerge & be coached

Try to avoid planning for an exact number of players - if you have players drop out or show up unannounced you’ll have to change what you planned on the fly. Try Embrace the random.

You can have the best session plan in the world, but the players you work with are unpredictable playing an unpredictable game, consider your session plan to be more a guide for the session than something absolute .
