Female runners: I'm writing about women's experiences of harassment while running: from strangers making noises, to assault. I can draw on my own experiences & those published in studies, but I'd love to include some more voices. Would you be happy to tell me your experiences?
This is for my forthcoming book, In Her Nature (published by @ChattoBooks in 2022). It's on the past and present of women's outdoor sport, and it's about how women have suffered from, and negotiated, exclusion from public space and alienation from our own bodies.
I've got to leave this for a while but THANK YOU to everyone replying. I'm documenting every response & I hope to include every one in my book. I have stats & reports to draw upon but these replies are such a powerful portrayal of the reality of being a woman in public space.
