Visited Gurdwara Chevi Paatshahi Baramulla Kashmir today. Sharing some pictures of the Gurdwara Sahib and it’s surroundings in this thread.

This is the Darshani Deodi or the Main gate of the Gurdwara Sahib.
Guru Hargobind Sahib visited Baramulla via Pir Panjal & then headed out to Srinagar and Shahji Marg where other two Gurdwaras stand tall today. More about guru sahib’s kashmir visit in this thread here https://twitter.com/amaanbali/status/1288462038428037121
The gurdwara in Baramulla is located across the bridge over Jhelum river. W.R Lawrence in his ‘Valley Of Kashmir’ records the bridge over Jhelum to be made out of wood. These bridges are non existent today & are replaced by concrete ones
While heading towards the gurdwara I took the newly inaugurated foot bridge. Pic 1

In pic 2, you can see the foot bridge as clicked while standing on a concrete bridge meant for vehicles.
The Gurdwara is made out of white marble and uses Sikh architecture. The Gurdwara has been constructed by Kar sewa jatha of Baba Harbans Singh Ji (Delhi wale)
Guru Garanth Sahib is seated on marble palki Sahib well decorated with Shastar and lights. It was pretty warm inside the gurdwara due to the gas and oil heaters installed in the Darbar. The Darbar is huge. I remember delivering speeches here as a child during my school days.
Another Guru Garanth Sahib saroop is resting on top floor. This is the area where people generally organise Akhand Paath for various purposes. The Paath is completed on top floor & Diwan is held on the ground floor in the main hall.
Guru Sahib inserted Chinar stem in ground which grew to be a massive chinar later. The Chinar was cut by Sikhs because it was inside the Darbar hall & Kar sewa jatha suggested it to be cut. The trunk is preserved here but it’s not worshipped.
Guru Sahib also dug a hole from where a fountain of water emerged, a well exists to this day. The water of the well is taken out by hand pump and is taken by devotees for drinking as well as sacred purposes.
On the wall I found this poster that says that Kar sewa of 19 Gurdwaras is going on in Kashmir. The Kar sewa is taken up by Baba Bachan Singh Ji and Baba Mahinder Singh Ji Delhi wale.
Stepping outside the Gurdwara’s walled structure, this lane leads to a puratan mandir or temple.
The temple is currently managed by CRPF battalion. The clothes drying outside are those of jawans. Civilians are not permitted to enter the temple.

By its side exists a small Shiv temple (3rd pic)
Like all temples there were stairs at one time that led to river where devotees offered water or took bath before praying. The stone stairs to Jhelum still exist but need renovation.
This temple is not to be confused with Raghunath temple in Baramulla market.
