It is not lost on me that Premier League football, the one place where someone born on the 14th floor of shitty tower block number 7 or into abject poverty in rural Ghana has a chance of getting wealthy, annoys some ppl so much more than golf, tennis or formula one... 🤷🏽‍♀️
But I am still a bit surprised about how much people choose not to understand the simplest of things when it suits them...
That the reason footballers are so much better paid than rugby players, gymnasts or triathletes is NOT because football is more demanding physically, it’s just cos more people are watching, that’s it.
half of us could not even name more than 5 formula one drivers for example... and well the cost of entry to that or golf or even tennis is much much higher than football.
