I felt that negativity was being projected during son’s dx. I objected and resisted, having the advantage of being autistic (undx’d then) and was studying neuroscience- it meant I wasn’t cowed or deferent to their opinions as i felt most was unscientific, subjective nonsense.
And just had a flashback to being snarky at one appointment at the implied ‘you terrible parent, how remiss you did not know this is actually a bad symptom’ when discussing pattern creating and retorting to the psychologist “not seen any of Andy Goldsworthy’s work then?”
