A new report by @LabourMuslims was released over the weekend into Islamophobia and the experiences of Muslim Labour Party members and supporters.

The report can be found here: https://www.labourmuslims.org/research

The results are worrying.
Here are some of the report's striking findings:

▪️ 29% of Muslim Labour members & supporters (over 1 in 4) have directly experienced Islamophobia

▪️ 37% of Muslim Labour members & supporters (over 1 in 3) have directly witnessed Islamophobia
▪️ Over half, 55%, do not trust the leadership of the party to tackle Islamophobia effectively

▪️ The Labour complaints procedure is widely criticised, with 48% saying they have no confidence in it when it comes to tackling Islamophobia
▪️ 59% don't 'feel well-represented by the leadership'

▪️ 46% don't believe Labour represents the Muslim community effectively.

This report should be of concern to the Labour Party & needs to be taken seriously & acted upon if Islamophobia is to be rooted out from the party.
