At the public hearing last week, the response to some council member's question from 10/13 meeting, "how late in the process 50 (or 20) spaces could be taken out without affecting design and development, construction drawings, timing or price?":

A= "One week" (this Tuesday)
Approximately 40 employee parking spaces are required by our current LUO. + We are on track to build an extra 20 spaces beyond those requirements.

The 203 Project will require some changes to our LUO ( i.e. less trees in the downtown) parking requirements is not one of them.
Our neighbor #UNC models well what Park and Ride, busing, biking can do towards minimizing parking by not tying up 9-5 valuable space.

Or another inspiration:

It is way past time to bust out of 'business as usual'.
If you would like #Carrboro to try harder towards instituting policy aligned with TDM strategies, beginning with the 203 Project and our LUO parking requirements, send us a note before Tuesday or request to speak @ [email protected] https://climateclock.world/
