So cis people concern troll about treatments for trans kids, so:
* HRT for teens without requiring blockers is good, and will probably help the teen determine if that is best for them more quickly than blockers.
* HRT for teens without requiring blockers is good, and will probably help the teen determine if that is best for them more quickly than blockers.
* Mastectomies for teens are available from surgeons, the problem here isn't that trans teens may have their breasts removed, the problem here is the belief that medical interventions for trans people are strictly for adults.
Instead of conceding these things should be kept from teens, please consider that it's actually okay for these treatments to be given to teens, and that keeping them away from them is denial of medical care. I know the impulse, but we don't have to let them set the terms.
I recall the UK terfs and their media got in a froth because a teenaged trans girl got surgery from Dr. Suporn at 16. Setting aside the insulting ways they described the surgery, or how they claimed this was forced on the girl, the fact is that she appears to be doing fine.
The problem wasn't that she had that surgery. The problem was that an entire nation's chattering class decided they should have a vote on private citizens' health care.
To be clear the concern trolling is from terfs, GCs, and many media commentators. The *response* to their trolling is to reassure them they're wrong, when the problem with them being right is that they think they should have a say, not that these kids have had health care.
