I’ll make this a thread or something:
#1 Rarely, if ever, should you be using straight black paint for finishing work. I.e. Even “black” in nature is usually a very dark brown, or similar shade. You’ll get a more natural look this way!
#2 These fishing lines make great thread for sewing up taxidermy and pelts. Both taxidermy shops I worked at use this! (Obv not for small things like birds since this is a thicker thread)
#3 You can use sharpening rods to make disposable scalpels last longer.
