To be clear, both the NSW and WA approaches are vastly better than the approaches followed in most of the rich world. The difference is in resilience, and in how you value borders vs the difference between the moderate restrictions NSW has versus the fewer restrictions WA has.
For me, interstate travel, probable Asian travel bubbles, and not having to worry about the effects of a quarantine breach far outweigh the ability to attend crowded indoor events and skip signing into venues. I guess the people of WA have different priorities.
