A thread clarifying my position on pedophilia

Because I’ve seen screenshot after screenshot of me defending pedophilia, I wanted to clarify my position. I want to say that, while I still agree with my positions, it was irresponsible of me to recklessly tweet out things like “There isn’t anything wrong with pedophilia”.

I was just trying to be edgy and provocative and just looking for attention, and I apologize for that. The second thing I want to clear up, although it’s probably hard to believe considering how much I’ve defended it, I personally think pedophilia is disgusting, and those...

suffering with it should seek help. However that is not the same as a moral argument, I can still find something disgusting and not think it’s morally wrong.

The final thing I want to clear up before we get into the juicy moral arguments, is that I think both CP and raping children is not okay (I mean assuming it isn’t like a trolley problem situation).

This is a relatively quick part though. As a consequentialist, I do not think adults being attracted to children is morally wrong because it does not have any bad consequences unless acted upon. There, that’s the take.
