⭐️ Thread of my favourite small/indie businesses, just in time for Christmas shopping! ⭐️
I’m aware it’s a ridiculous hour but I am wide awake so I’m going to start this thread now and see how far I get! I own a LOT of lovely bits and bobs from many wonderful indie businesses & it is so important to support small biz owners, especially just now!
Supporting a small biz means supporting someone’s dream, someone’s livelihood, and your money goes directly to the maker! Also in my experience you get a much better product, so much love & care goes into making it, and it’s incomparable to Big Retailers.
Also!! Feel free to reply to this thread with your favourite small businesses! I’d love for this to be shared and expanded so we can show love to as many wonderful, creative biz owners as possible ❤️
Disclaimer: most of these will be earrings (we all know how I feel about earrings...), but I also own bracelets, necklaces, prints, pins, key rings, t-shirts, tote bags and rings from small bizzes, all of which I’ll share!
I can’t not kick this thread off with my best friend @megscarbieart, who is also responsible for putting me on to most of the bizzes on my list! I am in awe every day of this lady’s talent, work ethic, and creative spirit. She’s outstanding, there is no other word for it!
Meg has some (discounted!) commission spots available for Christmas and she ships worldwide! Above are the hoops I have from Meg (minus my strawb hoop which lives in my office) and below are the many earrings I have from her ✨ her shop is here:
http://Etsy.com/uk/shop/megscarbieart
Another wonderful embroidery artist is the lovely @rebeccaxpage of Stitch Ambition! I was kindly gifted this hoop by @megscarbieart and she lives on my bookcase now. Rebecca is such a kind soul and ridiculously talented! Her shop is here:
http://Etsy.com/uk/shop/stitchambition
While I’m on embroidery, I unfortunately do not own any of her pieces but the lovely @xominamina is a very talented embroidery artist (and a brilliant lady too) ❤️ she sells hoops, jewellery and key rings in her store here:
http://etsy.com/shop/jemstitches/
Next up we have the wonderful Hollie @cosygirlsclub, a multi-talented lady whose entire stock I absolutely love! She made my favourite floral scrunchie & an amazing digital drawing of Conor and I which cheers up my desk. Her shop is here: http://etsy.com/uk/shop/cosygirlsclub
The talented lady behind my favourite face mask is @robynandbobbin, she makes beautiful masks and hair accessories AND she does pet portraits!! Her shop: http://Etsy.com/shop/robynwithabobbin
My beloved desk calendar is from Sarah Edmonds, who sells beautiful calendars, prints and pins! Her shop: https://www.etsy.com/shop/sarahedmondsmarket
Another absolute favourite of mine is @roobsleiser’s GRL CLB, this biz does a lot of good work as well as making beautiful products; my beloved NHS tote is from here (which I love sporting in the hospital I work in) 💖 http://www.grlclb.com
I have a LOT of pins and key rings on my backpack, and instead of taking them all off it made more sense to photograph them in situ. I’ve noted the names of the businesses I got them from next to each pin, hopefully that is clear enough! ⭐️
Not strictly speaking a ‘small biz’ but a very worthwhile cause, @BlurtAlerts are an organisation I’ve followed and adored for ages now. They do amazing work & their shop stocks brilliant (and helpful) goodies and books by their CEO @JayneHardy_ http://www.blurtitout.org
If anyone else is a letter-writer like me, I buy my sets from Little Print Company - beautiful artwork, incredible quality paper and envelopes, and would make a stunning gift ✨
http://www.Etsy.com/uk/shop/littleprintcompany
Another definite favourite is @thesadghostclub - I’ve bought from them a few times and their lovely products always cheer me up! Their colouring book and zines are staples of my Cheer Up Box and I have a pin on my backpack (see above)💖
http://www.thesadghostclub.com
@folliehuller is an artist I’ve bought from a few times now! I love her characters, they cheer me up, and my speckled earrings are some of my favourites! Her shop is here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/holliedraws
Prints-wise, I adore the prints I have from Tillie CM; her artwork is absolutely beautiful and her drawing of ‘Her’ (my favourite film) is just stunning. She does film prints in various sizes and postcards! Her shop: http://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/TillieCrawfordMiller
I received this print for free with a Lucy and Yak order but I’ve followed the artist ever since! Her work is utterly beautiful - http://Depop.com/3cupsofteastudio
I received this print with a Papergang order and, again, have followed the artist since! Her work is absolutely awe-inspiring, right up my street and just amazing: http://amapofdreams.com/prints-1
This is a (very poor photograph of a) beautiful Billie Grand piece, the first ring I ever bought that is actually my size! Her silverwork is honestly amazing & she does a variety of jewellery: http://www.billiegrand.com
Shout out to @kohlgrrl for introducing me to @tattydevine - I love my teacup necklace and their jewellery is so unique and beautiful ☕️ https://www.tattydevine.com/
This adorable little knitted bumblebee is from Alice’s Curious Dream (and was gifted to me in a care package from @megscarbieart), he keeps me company at my desk 🐝 ACD does absolutely stunning hand-crafted goodness: https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/AlicesCuriousDream
This is one of my favourite necklaces, my Protector necklace from Pico. The biz is run by a lovely, lovely lady from Thessaloniki - her jewellery is utterly gorgeous, I’ve got my eye on a few of her pieces! http://www.picothestore.com
This gorgeous necklace was a Christmas gift last year from my parents, made by Wild and Flower! Their pieces are breathtaking, so delicate and skilful! http://www.wildandflower.com
I will pick this back up tomorrow and share my huge earring collection, plus a few more jewellery bits and bobs 💖 thanks for tuning in & do please add your favourite small bizzes to this thread!
Okay, small biz thread round 2! Here we go!
One of my favourite jewellery makers, been buying from Florence Fig for about a year and a half now! These abstract botanical face earrings were one of my first pairs of statement babies. Beautiful range!
http://florencefigstudio.com
Another long time favourite! Night Time Holiday jewellery is outstanding, amazing quality, and just beautiful! Her bracelets are also made to size, which made my tiny wrist happy, and she does regular no-waste sales!

These stunning earrings are from a recent find, Pavlina Bella! The detail in these is amazing, I’ll definitely be buying again in future 🌼
http://Etsy.com/uk/shop/pavlinabella
These lovelies were a birthday gift from @megscarbieart and they’re made by House of Hetty; again, absolutely beautiful. They’re so lightweight as well!
http://www.houseofhetty.com
I wore these on Christmas Day last year for obvious reasons, so festive (but not too Christmassy, so good for all year round). I’ve followed Olive Earrings for yonks, absolutely gorgeous pieces!
http://www.oliveearrings.com
These are some gorgeous Ivy Makes earrings, again I’ve been a long time follower and her work is stunning. These are amazing for every day wear, so light but bring a little bit of sparkle!

These little delicate ones were a Christmas gift from my parents last year, from Akimade! They’re so beautiful, big fan of botanical jewellery so these are right up my street!
http://akimade.etsy.com
Some big bold babies! These were a birthday gift, and are from Babylon Jewellery. If like me you adore a BOLD earring, check this store out!

These abstract lovelies are from Studio Iebis; her pieces are so unique, the colour combinations are stunning, I’ve never seen anything like these pieces: http://www.iebis.etsy.com
Some more abstract beauty! These are by PASTA Ceramics, I got the little studs for free (the maker is such a lovely lady!) I always get compliments on these black and white ones! She does other ceramic work as well: http://p-a-s-t-a.com
These dangles got me through my first public poetry reading! Velvet Orange Designs is an amazing brand, Aliza is absolutely lovely & so kind. I’ve followed her brand since the start and watching her grow has been amazing, her stock is gorj! http://velvetorangedesigns.etsy.com
A new but firm favourite! Kelvin Clay by @jocelyn_mcG, I absolutely LOVE these earrings! The detail and beauty is just unreal, amazing quality, and an all round lovely gal. Plus she just realised new gift boxes for Christmas... http://www.Etsy.com/uk/shop/kelvinclaystudio
Where to begin with Wonky Whims!! Beautifully PAINTED earrings, a queer-owned biz, and just a brilliant brilliant brand. These blue painted ones literally turn heads, they also have earrings of infamous artworks!
http://www.Etsy.com/uk/shop/wonkywhims
The lighting here is a bit rubbish BUT we have Sara and Loom here, some absolutely breathtaking earrings!! I had my eye on the Blomst (2nd photo) earrings for AGES and I’m so glad I bought them (if I had a pick a fav it would be them) http://saraandloom.etsy.com
Next up, possibly the most amazingly detailed earrings I own! Little Buddy Studio is a long time favourite, her earrings sell out fast and it isn’t hard to see why! They’re utterly gorgeous and so lightweight as well! http://littlebuddystudio.com
And some more gorgeous, detailed lovelies from Amy Firkins! These earrings are so, so delicate, so gorgeous, just amazing. These lemon ones are definitely a favourite of mine! http://www.amyfdesign.co.uk
Northerner on the Run, where to begin! The gal who runs NOTR is absolutely lovely, her earrings are outstanding, and she’s about to release new homeware as well!! I love them so much I needed a barrette to match the earrings! https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/NorthernerOnTheRun?ref=search_shop_redirect
And finally - as you can tell from my massive collection, Sophie Filomena is a firm favourite of mine! She’s a brilliant lady, so kind and creative, and her work speaks for itself! She just released a new collection too (on my Christmas list!) http://www.sophiefilomena.com
Sophie also has clip-ons for you non-pierced babes, AND she takes custom orders too! My orange arcs (sister to my lemons) and peach arcs are both custom orders of mine. Oh AND she does gift cards!!
And that wraps up the thread!! I’ll add to it if I think of any more fab small bizzes and I welcome anyone else adding to it as well. And, as far as you’re able, try to shop small this holiday season! ❤️
Adding in the wonderful @woooooooooooop and Glass Hart Gifts!! These pieces speak for themselves, they’re just absolutely gorgeous! Bold and statement! https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/GlassHartGifts
