spent all weekend playing new games on new consoles and decided to put my thoughts into a thread. let’s go!
Spider-Man: Miles Morales
phenomenal, so much heart in this game. Miles is such a great character and, god damn, this game looks insane. also, you can swing around Brooklyn with a cat in a backpack. i love it.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla:
absolutely stunning on Series X (some pretty gnarly screen tearing aside). combat feels a little floater than i would like but the story seems really cool, raids are dope, and i dig the Norse backdrop. skill tree is bad tho!

Demon’s Souls:
probably the best looking game i’ve ever seen. load times are insane, which is great because i’ve died 437 times already. not sure if i love it? it seems (somehow) harder and less accessible than other Souls games.

Astro’s Playroom:
delightful, charming, funny, and cute as hell. such a great little platformer and WOW does it showcase just how awesome the DualSense is. already bummed that there aren’t more levels.
