Hate these reports about Muschamp being fired at South Carolina.

Here’s a story about how he helped me get my first job out of college

I was working for the South Carolina athletic department as an intern and welcomed Muschamp and his wife to Columbia on their first day on the job. I worked on a few video pieces for the football program but mainly covered Olympic sports for the Gamecocks/SEC digital network...
After I graduated I applied for the Colts reporting job (which to be honest, I had no business getting if you look at experience) I immediately went looking for some type of connection to Indy.

After a few months in the job, my boss mentions a certain email he received on my behalf during the hiring process from... you guessed it... Will Muschamp.

Coach Muschamp emailed a stranger in Indianapolis about a job an intern wanted. I firmly believe I wouldn’t have gotten the job without his email.

So, be kind. Football is game. A small piece of young people’s lives. The role he played in their lives is much bigger.
Wishing him and his staff the absolute best. Football is a cruel, yet wonderful world.
