Via friend just now, refrain of what so many of us have said: Why the hell is the onus always on Dems to make govt work & fix the economy after Republicans destroyed it? Why is it NEVER asked, “How will the Republicans work with Democrats to repair the damage they’ve done?”

2/ People seem to be overlooking the second half of this tweet and only addressing the first part. When will writers, news outlets, anchors, commentators, journalists ask how Republicans will work with Dems to fix their own messes?

3/ Accountability.

We KNOW why Republicans do what they do. But why aren't they publicly called out for repeatedly creating these messes instead of the focus being put on how Dems will fix them (and of course be blamed when they can't perform magic).

4/ And don't get me started on the "reach out to Republicans" part? Which ones? The ones who go maskless and endanger lives, the Q's who endanger lives, Mitch McConnell who's endangering lives with his obstruction, the ones who turned their backs as Trump killed people?

5/ Dems are supposed to "reach out" and "compromise" with willfully reckless traitors who continue to support the genocidal, racist, misogynist fraud in the WH & who obstruct aid to those in need? Compromising our principles is not an option. GOP, your turn. We're waiting.

6/ Which brings us back to the original question: “How will the Republicans work with Dems to repair the damage **they’ve** done?”

& when will those in the media hold them accountable with that question? And then not quit until they get answers and commitments. Still waiting.
