I’ve ventured out into a number of Twitter subcultures recently.
It’s been...interesting. And enlightening.

There are people who sincerely believe communism is a superior way to order society, though they’ve never experienced it themselves.

There are people who take...
...what they hear on network media as gospel truth and consider everything else illegitimate. They won’t even believe what they see with their own eyes.

There are people who think it’s virtuous to make lists of people who don’t follow the status quo for the express purpose...
...of destroying their lives.

There are people who think Antifa is a harmless antifascist idea with no organizational framework that has nothing to do with 2020 street violence.

There are people who think words are violence and violence is okay as long as a victim deserves...
...it, usually by wearing a disapproved article of clothing, carrying a disfavored flag, or walking down a disallowed street.

There are people who have no knowledge of history whatsoever and others who only know a history by disinformation.

There are people who honestly...
...think they can read people’s minds and see into their souls and seem to only ever ascribe bad motives to others.

All in all, I can see why people stick to their own little groups.
I forgot to include one very disturbing subculture. I didn’t believe it at first because it seemed so — well, unbelievable.

There are people who think that President Trump is the “restrainer” mentioned in 2 Thessalonians. They believe he is “ordained” by God. Their belief...
...seems to go well beyond the orthodox understanding that God raises up rulers as stated in Daniel, Jeremiah, Proverbs, etc. Sadly, these weren’t troll sites mocking Christians.

I’ll add more thoughts as they come to me.
