My opinion on cis guys expressing fluidity in their clothing choice is that it’s fine. Like, yeah, it’s cool. Wear what you want, and break gender norms, that’s all fine and dandy.
My few caveats would be…this isn’t exactly new, it’s just more common. People have been making strives in this for centuries, and even in decades prior in pop culture. And also, let’s not forget that trans people also helped open the door too.
But that doesn’t mean it’s like…a problem or anything? (Certainly not “appropriation” like that one tiktok tried to claim) Fluidity in presentation is fine, and I’m glad it’s more common, and it’s good to see people express themselves.
In conclusion I guess…yeah, it’s fine. Wear what you want, express yourself. I’m just bothered by outlets getting the history wrong. Other than that...it’s their clothes, they can dress how they want, and it’s all fine to me.
