I've been keeping track of COVID-19 stats over the past month in Michigan.

Here's how bad it is.

In 5 days, (11/9-11/13) Michigan recorded 35,009 cases and broke the record for single-day increases 3 times, including the record on 11/12 with 8,516 cases.
In just 11 DAYS, from November 2nd to November 13th, Michigan recorded 26.5% OF THE TOTAL CASES since the pandemic began.

11/2-11/3 total cases were 66,924. As of yesterday's numbers, Michigan had 251,813 total cases.

The first two cases were reported on March 10.
Finally, hospitalizations are climbing.

From October 13th to November 13th, hospitalizations are up 232%. There were 999 total hospitalizations on 10/13 and 3,320 hospitalizations on 11/13.

I love math, I'm a rare math nerd who is also a journalist, and these numbers say a lot
