Among all the characters in Snk, Mikasa Ackerman is written to be one of the hardest to understand along with Eren Yeager and Reiner Braun. While Reiner and Eren both make contradictory statements and conflicting decisions at different times which makes it hard to understand +
their true nature, Mikasa is the one who's quiet, hardly ever expresses herself and when she does, it's for the purpose of comforting the other person and not because she feels the need to take it off herself. With such introverted and quenched feelings, Isayama puts more focus+
on what she's thinking to herself, rather than saying, her facial expressions on being introduced to a certain turn of events, her flashbacks and certain other unknown aspects such as headaches etc. With such characters, the author gives us the freedom to try+
and decipher their state of mind and individuality, about what they're possibly going to do. Not every character is like this, some are created as in their stories are laid out plain and simple and we are supposed to follow their struggle and certain others are kept in the dark+
for the longest of time only to lay it out in the last moment and treat us with a moment of surprise by discovering if we were wrong/right all along. So, It's not really possible for bodies with flickering LH and FSH surges to wrap such complexities around their brains.
Only stable and grown minds will be patient and calm enough to analyse such beauty of a character.
