(1/7) A quick post-mortem on the #Maisie B2.

Maisie dropping into the B2 strikes me as one for the Specials betting textbooks in how a range of different elements can come together to bring someone down. #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing
(2/7) Maisie will be able to determine that despite her dancing to most people being generally mid-to-upper table level, she must have either been bottom or 2nd-bottom of the public vote.

She's just a teenager, so this must have been a real blow to her personally. #Strictly
(4/7) However the styling of dance this week did Maisie no favours - they reinforced the negative image.

The dance begins with her apparently obsessed with looking at herself in her phone, seemingly confirming the Daily Mail's portrayal of her.

(5/7) Then you need to remember, Stricly's main audience is middle-England mums, who tend to like 'demure' and 'modest' women - women they don't see as a threat.

Maisie was styled ala bimbo/doll, with pigtails. #Strictly

I found this video on some dark corner of the internet:
(6/7) Add on the song 'Girls Just Want To Have Fun' which can have various connotations. Throw in some sexy hip action and you have the perfect recipe for a woman that women will absolutely dislike.
(7/7) I personally didn't see Maisie as any more arrogant than the average TikTok-millenial - but have been laying her on the markets for a while, it was all way too obvious.

In summary, the result here is another one which exposes the audience, rather than 19y/o Maisie herself.
