I was smoking my blunt while doing jumping jacks and had an epiphany. It's amazing how much surviving on the daily causes for one to trust millions of others. Life is one big collaboration. There's this invisible contract between humans that we all agreed upon at some point.
Everytime we get on the road we must trust every other driver not to be drunk. We trust the people who design the streets, the people who paved em, painted the lines, created the stop lights which we trust everyone to stop at.
You order take out you trust the people you don't know never seen to not poison you. The driver delivering the food not to fondle your grits. Or to come back and rob you. You trust the doctors, teachers, etc. because of an invisible social contract
Humans have to trust millions of humans daily in order to survive. Animals must trust humans. The earth must trust humans. The future for us all is in the hands of our neighbors. Some of us have more blood on our hands than others but we all have blood on our hands.
The world has changed dramatically. We must revisit the invisible contract shared between humans and redefine what it means to be a decent human being. One who at least considers others.
An empathetic society.
A creative society. One that creates solutions for the future generation instead of more problems. I put humans in 2 categories those who create more problems that my 6yo will have to solve in her future. And those who solve problems so that she doesn’t have to.
Pick a problem and work to solve it yourself.
This is one of the many reasons why mental health is so important. If the mind isn’t healthy the human isn’t healthy and it’s hard to perform at the level we need someone to perform at when collaborating with the rest of us in society.
We must educate each other about the cornucopia of issues others may be facing that we may not experience in our lives so that way we may know how to help.
